MY STORY

Hola! I’m Mariella Gonzalez, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to supporting you on your healing journey. With nearly 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I am passionate about helping others cultivate inner healing, resilience, and growth.

Growing up in an underrepresented community has deeply shaped my understanding of how challenging it can be to break cycles, address intergenerational trauma, and find a sense of belonging. These experiences drive my commitment to creating a safe, compassionate space where clients can explore their stories, heal past wounds, and embrace their authentic selves.

My path started with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Los Angeles. Working in law enforcement, I quickly recognized the critical need for mental health services in underserved communities, which inspired me to pursue a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mount Saint Mary’s University, Los Angeles. Over the years, I have gained valuable experience working in community-based mental health services, igniting my passion for outreach and support within marginalized populations.

I have a special love for working with mothers, understanding both the joys and hardships of motherhood. My approach is rooted in helping women balance the demands of this life stage while cultivating a sense of identity, belonging, and community.

When I’m not working with clients, I am a proud mother of two, passionate about motherhood, losing myself in a good book, and connecting with nature. I believe in the healing power of connection to oneself, to others, and to the natural world as essential to growth and renewal.
